For Eva

Used the motion-sickness effects in this one (after all the photo was taken in the pub), and worked on her suntan slightly. I hope she likes it.

Santa Claws?

Last day of college before Christmas today, and as you can tell im in a seasonal mood. So heres a particularlarly un-seasonal picture of a crab on Thurso beach. Bumhug!

Todays time waster

Time to give the blog a bit of a seasonal theme.

Ask Santa

Be careful what you ask for. Some of my wishes weren't too well recieved by the big guy. ;)

The North Coast

My crude attempt at a postcard for the Highland seaside town of Thurso. I took the photo myself with a camera phone earlier this year and used the history brush and some filters to make this. One for their tourist boards 2008 guide for sure.

Amsterdam part 1 (revisited)

Remixed this one, this time i'm driving the number 12 bus across the square, much to the delight of the other guy. Maxed up the filters in this one as you can probably tell.

Barcelona part 2

Heres a photo i took in Placa Reial in Barcelona, used 2 different photos to make up this image. Its me with my twin brothers.

Amsterdam part 1

Picture taken, again by me, on a wet December night in Dam square.

Messed up in Photoshop.

Barcelona part 1

A picture taken on my recent Barcelona jaunt at the summer. Its a view of the city from the top of Parc Guell, given the old Photoshop remix treatment.

Saw this today...

I believe its a Dutch supermarket site, but i like what they've done here.

Move the mouse cursor over the blue cup and just watch.

One too many..

Photoshop again- this time its Aberdeen's den of iniquity, the Bells Bar, possibly seen through the eyes of one of its more 'refreshed' regulars.

Alien Sunset

This is a picture i took last year in Tenerife, sitting in a bar as the sun goes down. Was taken using a mobile phone, so average picture quality.

Photoshopped it into something different, a more alien landscape. Used the filters to good effect, added some spooky glow and used the 'liquify' feature to make the sea appear more turbulent and twisted.

See the person not the label

This is a personal id label i put together for part of my portfolio. Its been done in a retro, old- skool mixtape type style.

Edited my personal details before i blog it, just to put off any potential stalkers.

Apologies..

..for lack of blog action recently, partly due to other things going on in my life taking priority, and partly due to needing to get my finger out. To make it up, heres a more minimal piece i did of the wonderful granite city skyline. I originally did it with intention of doing a website based on Aberdeen, but quickly changed my mind to basing my site on Barcelona, as its a wee bit nicer on the eye than the 'deen.

New for Old part 2

Took a new photo and then attempted to make it look like some ancient artifact found in a dusty old box in someones attic, again with varying results. I've added some damage of my own to it, used cloning to smudge some bits of it, you can judge for yourself here.

New for Old

Heres what happens when i mess around with Photoshop, i was given an old picture to 'touch up'. There were obvious signs of deteriation and wear and tear which i've tried to tidy up and disguise.
I started with this:

and then with a bit of tweaking came up with this:

These are some of my early, and slightly primitive examples of my work.

In the beginning..

My name is Paul Hagan.
