Heres a poster i designed for the 1 Day Brief. Bit of a rush job to see how we worked under pressure, with a presentation at the end to the rest of the class. Got voted best poster by rest of class, despite not being particularly pleased with my final result.
Heres a poster that i designed for the Graded Unit part of my course. Its for a comedy film festival taking place in Aberdeen. In addition to the poster i also designed a webpage, flyer and beermat.
Its been a while, Doing Graphic Design this year, having put the web development to the side to concentrate on creating visuals. Going to start putting up some examples of my work here. Watch this space.
A panaromic type image i knocked up quickly today. Photo i took looking up Union Street at night from the Castlegate. Some effects and PS adjustments later and came up with this.
This is my first attempt at making a movie for college. The theme was workstation auditing. A few of my classmates helped with the shooting, but the finished video was all my own work. This is the first cut of it, so its a bit messy, and theres a few bits im not too happy with so i'll probably stick another version of it up later.
ROM CHECK FAILOne of the craziest games i've seen lately, it available as a free download on the above linkage. Its Super Mario, Pacman, Gauntlet, Defender and a load of other old skool games rolled into one. Game format keeps changing at an alarming rate so you're never quite sure whats going to happen next. Excellent stuff.
Messed about further with the beach lazers thing and animated it so it looks like a real lazer show! (well... something like one)
A photo of the skyline of Codonas amusement park at Aberdeen beach, as the sun went down. Manupulated it using a photo i took at the Chemical Brothers gig in Glasgow back in December.
The legendary Betha Palmer, and her 1982 release 'Keeping Up with Yesterday'.I could mess around with these all day.
As mentioned earlier, i stayed in the art-themed Winston Hotel last week. The artist responsible for our room was ATTI. Looked up some more of her stuff, its pretty cool so i've stuck a link up here to her site:ATTIYou can view the room we were in, you'll find it in the Interiors section.

The NEMO sceince centre in Amsterdam. Its an impressive building in itself, couldnt decide what to do with it in PS so here's a couple i threw together. I'll maybe mess around some more with it later.
http://www.winston.nl/Just got back from Amsterdam, much needed break after a chaotic year. Stayed at a cool, arty hotel in the RLD called Winston. Each room had been transformed by a different artist, and as a result it was the coolest place i've ever stayed in. The rooms varied from wall to wall fractal graphics with giant robots standing over the beds, to a fetish room complete with leather straps and chains on the bed (!). Cant do this place justice, but heres a little video i found on Youtube showing some of the rooms. It also had a bar which was very popular with the local crowd as well as residents. Heres a pic of the gents (most surreal) WC's.
Used the motion-sickness effects in this one (after all the photo was taken in the pub), and worked on her suntan slightly. I hope she likes it.
Last day of college before Christmas today, and as you can tell im in a seasonal mood. So heres a particularlarly un-seasonal picture of a crab on Thurso beach. Bumhug!
Time to give the blog a bit of a seasonal theme.Ask SantaBe careful what you ask for. Some of my wishes weren't too well recieved by the big guy. ;)
My crude attempt at a postcard for the Highland seaside town of Thurso. I took the photo myself with a camera phone earlier this year and used the history brush and some filters to make this. One for their tourist boards 2008 guide for sure.
Remixed this one, this time i'm driving the number 12 bus across the square, much to the delight of the other guy. Maxed up the filters in this one as you can probably tell.
Heres a photo i took in Placa Reial in Barcelona, used 2 different photos to make up this image. Its me with my twin brothers.
